Beautiful spot in the Gorge. I was in Space #14, which is near the highway and you can definitely hear the traffic. I was overnighting, so it worked fine for me. Clean restrooms, and abundant water. Great value!

I Road my bike from Northeast Portland to Eagle Creek via the old Columbia River Highway I was pulling a 55 lb trailer full of camping gear. I have an e-bike which made the trip possible. When I got into the camp and found my reserved campsite. I went to find water which was right next to the camp host. They were the most friendly people ever run into in a long time! They had an electrical hook up and allowed me to charge up my ebike which took a few hours that evening.

We liked the campground, it has most of the attributes we look for it's small, most sites are pretty private and it's beautiful. However the site we were in #14 was almost on top of #15 these sites could have been combined to make one site and it wouldn't have been any bigger than some of the other sites. Site #14 is located next to a trail and if you're sitting at the table hikers can literally reach out and touch you. The restrooms could have done with a good hosing out. The toilets were cleaned daily and the paper was restocked but the general restroom area had a feel of "good enough" and we have definitely been in better maintained facilities.

Very noisy from the interstate Hwy.
Sites are not well suited for tent camping.
Not very private or remote atmosphere I was hoping for. The biggest problem was many of the campers at Eagle Creek appeared to be homeless squatters with trashy homemade campers. Junk spread out all over. One family looked like the were living out of old beat up box truck. Our group felt very uneasy about the surroundings and we decided to leave and go elsewhere.
