We camped in #9 - it was clean and peaceful. Loved having the woods close to us. Only con I would say is campsites are pretty close together - we prefer more secluded spots.

The park has really gone downhill, our whole campsite was covered in sandburs. We came off the lake Saturday afternoon and the people who had the site next to us had their tent literally set up right behind our RV, we had to ask them to move to their site, there was no one attending the gate. We did not see a park ranger or a park employee come around the whole time we were there. We watched the "cleaning ladies" clean a campsite that was quite a joke! Very disappointed in the park

As others have said, many of the sites are far from level. The bathhouse was clean and the showers were hot with good flow rates. The picnic tables in a lot of the sites also seemed out of level and both our site and the table at the site could use some attention. Good rates for a site with electricity and water.

Very few of the sites are remotely level making set up tedious at best. If you like a tight knit campground with more of a party mentality this might be the place for you. Not much about the place made us want to return. Quite disappointing for a Corps of Engineers campground. Redeeming quality was the young man at the gate.

I stayed at site #9. I like the campground. The hiking trail was outstanding. The restrooms were minimal but clean. The problem was the campsite itself. Water hydrants are extremely far away from the campsite (not just in #9). This site was extremely unlevel requiring me to use supports for the front of my trailer and both wheels on my single axle. I barely was able to reach both the electric hookup and the water hydrant. The lane entering the site is narrow with a ravine on one side and concrete piers on the other. I would camp in the campground again, but would never use this site again.

Sites are gravel and about 1/2 of the sites are very unlevel. Site # 9 is really bad from erosion. Camp host very friendly and restrooms clean.
