We have camped in the Chickasaw Recreation Area for forty plus years but never at the Cold Springs Campground. We will be going back! The camp host "Bob" was exceptional and the best host we have ever had. The only downside was parking, however that did not distract from the overall experience.

Wonderful time with family and enjoying the springs. Other patrons were a bit loud and rowdy for my taste. Feels like a good first campsite experience for sure. Bathrooms are clean and area is clean.

Great place to cool off on hot days as you lounge in the springs! Campgrounds are clean and wooded. Definitely a great place to spend a day or two.

The camp sites are always clean & nice . The only issue I have had the last couple of times being in cold springs is other campers & their annoying barking dogs. I live in the city I hear my neighbors dogs barking ALL the time ! I go off to camp & be in nature to not have to hear that so it's frustrating

I love going to the Chickasaw Nation Recreation area in Sulphur!! It is a great place to relax and enjoy nature's beauty! I enjoy camping where you can hear the water running down stream!! It is so relaxing! I would recommend it to everyone!

Great trip, great camp ground host, grounds were well maintained and utilities were all working.

I have camped here for many years. It is still a beautiful place to be. I do however wish there was more of a ranger presence during quiet time. The site next to mine had about 12 people sitting around the fire laughing loudly getting in and out of vehicles until about 1:30 in the morning. It was very annoying for people trying to sleep.

Great hiking trails, clean well stocked restrooms and easy in and out. Felt safe with several security rounds each night. Will be back!

Great spot backing up to woods! Had plenty of space for our rather large tent and was flat ground. There is crushed gravel on the ground at most sites which is nice to control mud but not the most comfortable if you sleep on the ground without a pad or cot. We loved waking up to seeing deer in the trees behind us. The campfire area had an adjustable height grill which was very helpful.

Cold Springs Campground has been our favorite campground for many years, and remains our favorite. The simplicity (with no electric hookups and only shared water spigots throughout the campground) is one of the things we love about it. There are regular bathrooms (no showers) at one end of the campground for campers that didnt bring there own.We always opt to camp along the river where we can hear the falls. There's no drinking allowed in this campground, and it seems like people abide by that rule. It's very family friendly here. The only "partying" we see and hear would be families having the time of their lives. There is a camp host on duty 24/7 and usually there are park rangers driving through the camp ground assuring everything is safe and well. No playground, but plenty of other fun nature things for kids to do!

Love the camp site. Every year to go to the same camping ground and it's always so beautiful especially my kids love going their. So much to do.

Great nature and water. Call ahead of time to inquire about the bathrooms and their "maintenance" schedule.
@BrandonS417195 · Camped on Jul 18, 2025 at Campsite #32
It was nice the first day then the following day it got way too crowded. The campers around didn't respect your campsite and just walk through it and mess with things and being loud and dealing with people who are drinking when they can't drink in this time of year. I'm sure anytime besides the summertime camping in this area is completely fine, but summertime do not recommend

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
