Site was clean and free of debris. Area was extremely quiet, sites are spaced somewhat close but still have a semi private feel, i have AT&T cell service and it was spotty but thats not what you go for. I could reach emergency services if needed. Camp host is situated just a few sites away. Trash pickup was daily, walked the area several times and it was also well kept and quiet. Bathrooms were clean and well kept. I had a great site with access to the water which was perfect for me to paddleboard

Second time here @ pt 59. Reserved 58 too and had so much fun. It is right off the water, but people who have boats drive them there and are allowed to park them all day and night. The kids had to watch to make sure they didnt trip over the lines ans anchor. Tried to get in at 58, but hard to get back up the hill and the water is a little deeper. This site is also where everyone comes to swim around the whole campground so people are in and out of your area all day and night as well. We did find a beach at Loop D that we were able to go to to swim and we had so much fun there! The host there is so nice and helpful and assisted us with all of our needs. The walk to the restroom and shower was right up the hill si that was very convenient. There is parking for two cars there, but three could really fit their comfortably. 10/10 would recommend!

We enjoyed hiking and the springs at the park! The campground and campsite was a bit far from the activities we did but the site was nice! The campground host and ranger were very friendly and helpful!

We stayed 8 nights at this campground which was so clean and well maintained during late April and early May. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting the Chickasaw National Recreation Area hiking trails, especially along the lovely springs, the Lincoln Bridge, and the amazing Buckthorn Campground with our two dogs. Our dogs were not allowed at the springs area, but welcomed everywhere else. We also enjoyed the fried pies from the Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pie company nearby.

This is a beautiful area in Oklahoma; the campsites are well maintained, and there is plenty to do. Pulling into some of the RV campsites can be a little tight, so make sure your RV or travel trailer is not longer than the length they recommend for that particular site. Highly recommend visiting the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

Wonderful place. Meet up with many forest and prairie animals. Extraordinarily warm weather - enjoyed a quick dip in the brisk water. Liked hanging out at the springs and nature center. Very well maintained facilities.

It was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed riding our bicycles on the nice trails. We stayed during the week so can not speak how it would be on the weekends. We loved how close we were able to park next to the lake. Also, the sites for the tents for very inviting (flat).
@CaryW827 · Camped on May 9, 2021 at Campsite #59C
Sites were very clean, lots of trees for shade, fishing was good, and enjoyed the stay. It was mentioned somewhere, but it was difficult to obtain cell phone service. We were in a 25-foot travel trailer.

Beautiful campground. Clean. Well maintained. Had a great time. The only downfall was poor cell service. We'll be back!

This was our first trip in our new RV Trailer. We really enjoyed Buckhorn. The only advice we will give is shower early. Love the solar showers but it can be cold once the sun goes down.

Our campsite was absolutely beautiful with a fire pit and table. The host (James) was a very welcoming gentlemen who not only checks on his campers, but keeps the restrooms and showers extremely clean. This was our first visit and we will be booking more reservations and making memories here more often. The hiking trails, springs and downtown Sulpher are and added addition with lots of adventures to be done.
