It was great, nice and beautiful. My kids had so much fun. The people taking care of the area where very nice, the restrooms where clean every morning. It was a great experience we will definitely be back.

Rather pleasant, especially the trails and wild-life. Wish all the picnic tables were covered additionally.

For our first time to Caney Creek, we were very pleased. It provided a perfect getaway place to camp and relax.
We reserved site A03 sight-unseen, but it accommodated our 35' bumper pull nicely. The pad was level, even with being at the top of the ridge with a pretty fall view through the trees to the lake. The uncovered concrete table and large firepit with grate were oriented on the right side of the camper, which is how we like it. A lot of the other sites were not this way with the table and firepit at the back of the camper. The overall site space was relatively small as it was bounded by the one-way park road and site A02 next door, but had a nice canopy of trees. Most of the sites are pretty close together, so our experience would likely have been different if someone had been in site A02. Fortunately, it stayed open throughout our stay, and our camper shielded us from other fairly close occupied sites down the hill.
We were slightly disappointed to find the water hookups were at least 30' or more away from the camper requiring a quick trip to the local hardware store for a longer hose.
The restroom facilities were relatively new and well maintained. There were no soap dispensers.
When we do return to Caney Creek, we may look at getting into sites A04 or A14 instead - especially if A02 is already reserved.
Overall, very pleasant experience and would recommend it to other campers.
