Nason Creek Campground, located near Leavenworth in WA. Overall, not bad. However, definitely not our favorite. We used it as base camp to go on hikes. Nicely located for this purpose and close enough to town where we could quickly stop for food. There are also a couple of restaurants near by and it’s pleasantly located by Lake Wenatchee. Water and bathrooms present. Sites are decent. However, very close to the road and noisy. There were semi trucks driving by, construction equipment going toward the lake, and many other vehicles. Even early in the morning or late. Making it less than the usual relaxing camping experience. The sites have a fine powder top soil that gets all over everything. We had not encountered this previously at other sites. The powder is very annoying. Lastly, which isn’t anyone’s fault in particular, we had the worst camping neighbors that were up till 1-2 AM, making very Smokey fires, being pretty noisy. So ultimately an unhappy turnout for the camping site of our adventure. Will not be returning.

Enjoyed our stay at this sleepy campground. Much less hectic than the state park up the road at the lake. Friendly camp host, clean facilities, nice river flowing next to the campground, stores a couple of miles away, had cell service. Just a few complaints: road noise if you stay on the east side of the grounds, the water spigots on our loop were shut off (but others were nearby so not a huge deal), and the best sites on the river are all FCFS which is a little annoying. Mosquitoes were out in early July but not overbearing; bring spray or netting.

Overall a good spot, would stay again.
