There were 23 cars parked in the day use area the Sunday that I arrived, with about 35 to 45 people in the area. I took a walk through the day use area and noticed that only one car had tag in window indicating that they had paid the day use fee. In the evening, after everyone had left, I took another walk through the day use area and noticed it totally littered with garbage, watermelon rinds all over the place, soda cans, hot dog and hamburger buns, paper plates, Potatoe chip bags. paper, plastic rapers, discarded clothing, etc., etc., all over the place. Twenty-two vehicles didn't pay the day use fee so the US Forest service lost out on $220.00 on income it could have used.it is a shame that people would litter like this, as there was a garbage can in the area.A ranger should patrol the area and fine people who do not pay the day use fee.

Had a great time walking the river. The family always has a bet to see who finds the biggest agate and my wife won it this year with one as big as my fist. We love the campground

Had great time,stayed there as kid 60 years ago.Plan on going back next year and camping on the opposite side of the river.
