The water pump was broken, and the camp host told us when we got there. It would have been useful to know this ahead of time, so we could have brought more water.
The "bathrooms" (outhouses) had flimsy doors that didn't close well, and they were buggy.
The sites, even the ones that were long enough, were difficult to get an average size trailer into, but we managed to get in by backing down the campground road a ways.

Really lovely little campground. We stayed in sites 4 & 6. Site 4 is across from the camp host who was very pleasant. The site has direct sun on the paved pad most of the day. Overlooks Bumping River. Site 6's paved pad is shady most of the day. The picnic table and firepit area is right beside the river which is sunny and really beautiful.

Little traffic noise, lots of beauty. There is only one source of water - a large well with manual pump near the entrance to the campground. The pit toilets were tolerable and well stocked with toilet paper.

Would definitely stay here again! The camp host had firewood available for purchase, $8/bundle

We love camping off Hwy 410 along both the American and Naches Rivers and Cedar Springs campground off Bumping Lake Road was a good fit for our 3-campsite family outing last summer. There are lots of interesting destinations nearby for short side trips during the day like Bumping Lake, Boulder Cave, exploring forest roads, dayhikes and waterways.
Two considerations: campground layout forces people to pump water by walking directly into AND through campsite number 1--awkward. Outhouses are ANCIENT--relatively speaking they are 'clean' considering given the role they play, but it's another sad sign of how underfunded Federal and State parks are in our current economic and political environment (The Peoples' parks, BTW--we pay taxes and 'own' the lands in common). We had a great time and hope to camp there again in future.
