This is a nice clean campground and not far from home for us. The sites on the river-side of the loops are the better choice as the outer sites are very close to the road that goes to Bumping Lake. Campground is clean and well maintained. Bathroom are clean, no smell - but of course it's the beginning of the season, have no idea how they fair in the heat of the summer. There has been no water in the campground for some time now, don't know when that will be remedied, so that part is kind of pain, but not a drama.

Nice campground next to the Bumping River. The area across the river has been burned recently and the Soda Springs Trail was largely impassable in Sept 22.

My grandson and I like this campground for location and campsites by the river. There is a trail from the campsite which used to be a loop, it is no longer a loop, due to a storm a few years ago. You can hike to a little Scab Mountain, then backtrack, or continue to Flat Iron Lake, then return the same way. The camp hosts keep everything as clean as possible, friendly and communicative. This is the 3rd time I have camped here. More trails close by.
The negative is being told per Ranger Station, when I called, that the loop trail had been repaired..not so. I get some confusion but I recommend a map showing the 2 trails from the campground and stating the loop is unrepaired. There are 3 places where a map could easily be placed. (Instead of someone trying to etch in the wood by the trail sign at the end of the bridge backpack info area.)

A very tranquil and enjoyable campground that appeared to be in better overall condition that others i have seen this year. The culvert and "creek" across from space 15 needs to be better guarded and or marked, I almost drove into it when backing into the space.
