Dover, NH, located on the banks of the Cocheco River, provides campers with access to both tranquil riverside and forested camping options. Barnes Field Campground is located in the Androscoggin Ranger District, White Mountain National Forest (1 hr 38 min west of Lewiston, ME) with an elevation of 1,286 feet. There are a total of 11 campsites including 4 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 7 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $45.00 per night. Activities include hiking trails.

Blackwoods Campground is part of Acadia National Park in Maine (1 hr 25 min southeast of Bangor, ME) with an elevation of 227 feet. There are a total of 281 campsites including 221 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to mid October. 60 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 35 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Fees range from $30.00 to $60.00. Some amenities include dump station, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include hiking trails.
