Nebraska Tailwaters Campground in Knox County is located 1 hr 10 min west of Sioux City, IA with an elevation of 1,199 feet. There are a total of 43 campsites including 11 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid October. 32 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 84 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 1 site has electric and water hookups. 31 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $35.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, boat ramp, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, floating sports.

We had a nice weekend camping here. Campground was quiet, nice being right on the river. Our 12 year old was a little bored since there is no playground at this particular campground but he had fun fishing the river. We do wish that there was access to water at the campsites. The drinking water by the dump stations did not work.

A good location on the river below the dam. Town access is easiest if you stay on the Nebraska side of the river and go East and then cross the river into Yankton.

Caught my share of catfish, and carp so I'm a happy camper. Rest rooms are the cleanest of any place we've ever been. We camp there at least 5 times a year and never are disappointed.I would of gave it a 5 but we had a camper next door with loud music and the ranger just drove by and waved at them. The music did stop in time enough to comply with guit time. We'll be back.

Tailwaters is among my most favorite camping sites. It offers huge camp sites, electric amd very clean shower//bath area. With every site viewing the Missouri River, it beats neighboring camp grounds. I will keep returning and booking my reservations.

Nice campground, clean restrooms and showers. A con is that the concrete pads are narrow and not level with the grass/ground off the pad. Picnic tables, etc are in the grassy area which is kind of a pain when rainy and wet ground. Sites are long (and narrow).

Ronny (spelling), was really nice on the check in. She is a top quality staff person to have greet folks as they come in. Bathrooms were very clean and I rate them as two thumbs up. I would definitely stay again. They only info I can give, is I wish the park was open year round.

Great value for a spacious campsite with electric picnic table and fire pit. Nice view of the Missouri river. Very clean bathrooms with hot shower. I hope to come back again.

No issues. Nice campground. Grass was very over grown though. Would've been nice to have it cut before the weekend.

Love Tailwaters but the grass was tall like hadnt been mowed. Didnt seem as well kept or maintained the camping areas. Not much space to the pads we had. Hard to put tents on them due to lack of space and grass maintenance. Bathroom always seems clean and showers good hot water. We will stay again here!!

Overrun with campers using tents on camper pads. Camp Host has a sign by their camper to check in here, but when you knock no one answers. Bathrooms were out of toilet paper all weekend.

Site 4. These first few sites were close to each other,so they lacked privacy. The upside was being on the river next to the boat launch. Bathroom was clean but small. I didn't see any water available. Maybe at the dump station?

Stayed at site 21. Hosts were great. We stayed here for 3 nights. 50 amp breaker was worn out and not working. So we used the 30 amp plug. Advised the camp host. These sites are a little closer together then we typically like. The asphalt site was slightly downhill, but not too bad.

Very nice clean park with friendly host. Close to water and able to watch birds and fishermen from campsite. Shady spots a little close together but ok. Pretty level and bigger rigs seemed to be able to access sites ok. Boat launch and shore fishing next to campground. Nice picnic area and bathroom shower facilities.
