Nice little campground. Most sites are large, a few have a bit of a slope, so larger rigs may be harder to level. Nice view of the lake from many spots, good trails to wander the woods.

Arrowhead is great. This site is NOT. First its on a hill so steep its impossible to level a camper or rv. Its also at a horrible angle. Stay away from site 35!

Great campground, everyone this weekend was super respectful and quiet after 9pm. The bathrooms were clean minus a few times someone used the bathroom where they should not have.

Site was nice but very hard to find! Was not clear that there was not a water or Sewer hook up.

I stayed for a week and it was pretty great. You have to watch some of the spots as some of them wouldn't be good for long campers. I stayed on spot 35 for most of the time there and it is probably one of the better sites for campers. Bring lots of leveling blocks with you. I would have rated 5 stars if not for 2 reasons. The first was I was asked to change sites mid-week because of the need to cut a tree down. This was a huge inconvenience as I had a lot of gear to move. The second is that the bathrooms only get cleaned once a week. Which is unacceptable, even without the dangers of covid. Luckily I used my camper bathroom 95% of the time. The road into the campground is terrible, I couldn't even call it a gravel road, it is basically natural rocks and packed stone that is extremely rough on your camper getting in. Take your time though and you'll be fine. The campground itself is paved.

We enjoy staying at Arrowhead Campground when visiting the Uwharrie National Forest. It is generally quiet during the week but fills up fast when Friday/Saturday rolls around. The sites are nice & we love the wooded setting. However, a little tree trimming maintenance would be nice in places. The last site we stayed in (#35) was kind of tight, at the entrance, due to a dead, vine covered tree. We bring an off road vehicle in addition to our truck & trailer. The dead tree made getting it parked next to our truck a little tricky. I would also recommend having good blocks for the leveling jacks as this site has quite a bit of slope to it. On a side note, I was very disappointed at the amount of trash we saw around the lake! Especially along the unpaved trail that starts at the boat launch & hugs the shoreline. Next time we visit we're going to bring extra trash bags & gloves so we can have a family walk/clean up day. All in all we had a great time hiking the trails, 4 wheeling & taking in the scenery of the Uwharrie National Forest. We would highly recommend this campground!

I had 2 slots reserved again this year.....and again when we show up, there is no water in the sites. I wish these issues can be sent to the folks that reserve these slots that are looking to having water and electric. Several folks showed up there not having water in their tanks and couldn't use the pump station or their reserved site for water.
