A large family seems to be living there and took the whole family, including well into teen year boys, into the womens bathroom. We never saw a host to speak about this matter, and believe they were part of the host family. There a week and never saw the host at all. Family bathroom was filthy. Sites were nice. Location was nice. Need some attention to details and kick out current host joke.

Ive camped here several times in the past year and since the electric camp host named Don left it has gone downhill. Used to he would clean the sites the day before they were reserved and blow the leaves off. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. He would interact with the people staying and was friendly. The guy they moved from the non electric sites to the electric sites now doesnt do anything. The sites were trashed, the bathrooms looked like they hadnt been touched in months, and the only time I saw the host was when he was driving his Tahoe around with his strobes on. Overall after losing Don as a host the electric sites have gone downhill. Its a shame because the campground is close and convenient for a weekend getaway. I feel like part of reserving a site includes making sure its at least blown off or clean so it doesnt pose a fire hazard right at the fire pit. He doesnt even write the reservation names on the signs on the site posts. Over all the experience has declined.

The campground was cleaner than usual. The Ranger was patrolling more often which in my opinion is a good thing. I however did notice notice that there were not soap dispenser's in the restrooms. With the Covid situation I found that to be disappointing. This is the only state park campground I have ever been to without Hand washing soap dispensers. Also the showers had no Hot water. We camped in late April. Well past any freezing temps that might occur. All in all it was a very good experience. I would absolutely recommend.

All in all, it is a nice campground, but does have need of improvement. Weekends are the busiest time. The trash cans were empty when we arrived Thursday but they dont pick up trash again till Monday. The trash areas are overwhelmed by Sunday morning. We stayed from Thursday afternoon until Monday afternoon. On Monday morning, the trash cans were still overfull as no one empties them through the weekend. The non electric campers were using the outlets in the bathrooms for charging cell phones and running electric cooking appliances. On Sarurday evening, they had the bathroom crowded and we could not get to the sinks. They made no effort to move for the people using the shower facilties. The bathroom sink area was clean when we arrived on Thursday but was disgusting by Sunday morning. No one cleans the rest room facilities during the busiest times - the weekend. There was a clogged sink and a clogged toilet all 4 days we were there. The campsites themselves are nice. Our fire pit was full to the top with ash and hadn't been cleaned out recently. The boat launch dock is in need of repair. All of the boat tie offs are broken or in rotted wood. They should have signs and enforcement keeping people from swimming/ diving at the boat dock. We had issues everytime we came back to the dock with the boat. Young people were using the dock as a personal swimming area and lounging area and didnt want to move when the boats would come in. It's a safety hazard.
