The place was ok, however it is showing signs of poor upkeep. The bath house ( for men anyway ), was not a clean place and the shower stalls were in poor condition. They really need a very very good cleaning and should be kept that way. I felt nastier after my shower than I did before my shower. Really needs help, the whole place could use a revamp.

The campsites were nice but the bath house was not clean, especially the showers. Did not see a host at all, I expect to see the host at least once a day to ride through and check on things I stayed in the campground the entire time and not once did the host make an appearance.

Our stay was for 4 nights at the end of July. The On-site hosts were very helpful and supportive and the site was itself arranged well with both a large fire pit and and a standing cooking grill and abundant hard wood for both. The only down side for us was the un-maintained dirt road leading to the rv-site. Large holes that hid in the sun light flickering through the tries tried to swallow us up. The sites were conveniently located for our plans to explore the "pottery row" and have great access to the lake.

Bath house was disgusting. On the first day someone had defecated on the floor and it stayed there the entire weekend. No the same place it was a few years ago.

This was our 2nd experience at Arrowhead. A nice loop of campsites, most of the sites are reasonably private, all an easy walk to the bath house, which is large and well maintained. Good trails and easy access to the lake and the boat landing area.

Cant say enough about the experience we had at Arrowhead. When we need to relax and rest we know we can count on the Arrow Head camp ground. So peaceful and spacious. Loved every bit of our stay. We will be back many more times.

The bathrooms were clean, but the temperature on the shower was inconsistent and not adjustable. When you're hiking in 95 degrees, a cool shower would sure be nice! There is no beachy area to swim from, although you can enter the lake near the boat ramp. There is nowhere to buy firewood or ice, but there are stores within about ten minutes. The sites are really small and not near the water. When we booked, Badin Lake Campground was still closed, but it's open now. Their sites are bigger and closer to the water, so I'd recommend camping there instead. The biggest issue we had was the yellowjackets. I realize that isn't the park's fault, but they were just awful. We bought a yellowjacket trap and filled it right up. We camp in a pop-up, but usually we just sleep and change in there. This time, we had to eat every meal after the first one in the camper. The first meal was pancakes with syrup and I'm not exaggerating when I say there were 15 yellowjackets buzzing around us. One of us was stung twice.

Our site was double booked upon arrival and we had to wait in the rain for a solution. Campground was 100% booked so they were able to put us in a vacant host site. Which was nice, except it was not as private or large as the one we had booked. The electrical plugs at the camp host site were not to code and had 220volt running through a 30 amp plug causing obvious damage to my RV... Unable to get a hold of anyone for reimbursement.

My friends and I overall enjoyed our stay. I subtracted one star due to the bathrooms being of sub-par conditions compared to prior stays at this campground.
