We had a wonderful time. It was off season so the campground wasn't full which gave us some privacy. The host was very helpful when we arrived. There are lots trails for every level of hiker. Will definitely be going back. Just be sure to take what you need. Kinda a ways to a store.

Nice area but campsites are unlevel. Nice spacious bath house, seemed fairly clean, but no hand soap at all.

The site is nice and clean but not level so be warned. It's big enough for a travel trailer and 2 vehicles. Which was perfect for us since we stayed here to off road in Uwharrie and and our friends site wasn't big enough for their two vehicles they were able to park one at ours. The bathrooms were clean but hot with no A/C and lots of spiders. But that didn't bother me. Very beautiful place with lots of trails nearby. I love how dog friendly this place is as well!

Some of the 1st electrical sites in the campground are very unlevel. Other campers were very rude. Loud music, outdoor TV's blaring, and not observing quiet time which is usually 10 PM. Bathroom/shower facilities were filthy.

Very clean bathrooms and camp sites. Cell service is good for this area of Uwharrie.

Arrowhead campground is a nice place. I've now been there during each season of the year. April, July, September, and December. I'd have to say my stay in December was my favorite, only because of how quiet it was (a lot less people out camping in December).Sites are big enough for a trailer or small RV, electrical hookups and water availability. I always tent camp, and the sits are big enough for my 8x10' tent, an easy-up, and all our stuff.Super easy access to all the trail systems around Uwharrie from the Arrowhead campground as well.My only complaint is the bathroom. On busy weekends the bathrooms will run out of toilet paper and soap really quick, and don't get restocked or cleaned. Also, during the summer, there's no ventilation on in the bathrooms. I don't think there's AC for that little building, but even just some airflow would help. It becomes a sauna. Not awesome. Also the showers have one water nozzle, and it's hot water only. and it gets hot! So if I had to say one thing I didn't like about the campground, that'd be it.

Overall nice facility, but weekend dust and noise caused by 4-wheelers ruins the surrounding serenity.

This place has so much potential but there is very little upkeep to this campground. The area itself is really nice. It is remote and surrounded by beautiful forest. The roads were a little sketchy but that is not really the problem. The campground is not being taken care of. There was litter throughout the campground and down by the boat launch. The boat launch area actually had more litter which was so unfortunate. Our campsite was no exception. It had trash laying around and the fire pit looks like it had never (yes never) been cleaned out. The bathhouse was so gross even after they "cleaned" it. The bathhouse only gets cleaned 2x a week (per their little sign-off sheet) and except for the trash can, one could not tell anything else was done. We did not see any rangers or hosts working while we were there for 5 days. We hope this park gets the attention it deserves.

this is a rather rustic wooded campground with electric service. No water service other than drinking water spigots. The sites are not level. There are a lot of trees so it is very shady and a lot of pollen and tree stuff. It is quiet but a lot of birds singing early in the AM. The road to the campground is very rough (stones). It is a long way from civilization.

Arrowhead Campground was easy to get to and very quiet and peaceful during the week. There are electric hookups at many sites, but no water hookups. The camp hosts were helpful and kind. The bath house is nice and clean, and there are fresh water spigots around, but the water does taste a bit earthy. I would bring in bottled drinking water. There are a lot of trails to hike and kayaking, swimming, fishing, and boating on Badin Lake. On the weekend, the place was packed with people who were taking advantage of Jeep and ATV trails. I have never seen so many Jeeps. It was a bit loud, but everyone was quiet during the quiet hours from 10 pm to 6 am. I slept really well. There were many birds, wildflowers, and I even spotted a few non-venomous snakes. We saw deer and squirrels, too. Homestyle Barbecue in Troy was better than anything in Lexington. They have seafood Wed- Sat. We also visited downtown Lexington which was cute with lots of boutiques and food options and the Asheboro Zoo which is awesome.

Nice and quiet while we were there on a week day. Park was clean and water sources close by. Bath house was clean. Will return again in the future.

Would have liked full hook ups. Also, the dirt roads entering the campground are a little dangerous with many significant pot holes.
