The trail around the campground is beautiful. The sites are large and have privacy. Most sites are not level. The road into the campground is so bad that we will not return with our camper until the road is repaired.

Very nice campground. One of the camp host had two or three dogs in a large fenced in area which bark very aggressively. Many campsites still indicated that they were reserved, but the notices were several days past the reservation date so they were actually available, but this may have confused potential campers.

It was quiet and peaceful, no neighbors made for a great weekend. The site was great with a decent view. Showers and restroom was nearby. Trails were taken care of.

I thought that the men’s toilet’s had a bit of struggle flushing real good, especially the han-di-cap unit

Great place to camp ! Always enjoy staying at Arrowhead. Hiking trails, OHV trails, shooting range, boat ramp and fishing all right here in one area. Don't miss the beautiful sunsets at Kings Mountain Point !

Campground was very well maintained and the bathhouse was clean. The site we had was wooded and had some prvacy, it was really nice! We took the hiking trail around the lake, alot to see.

This a very nice campground, but the upper loop host Jennifer was atrocious. She clearly has a prejudice against Jeepers. We were in town for the Jeep Jamboree and were all treated like children at check in. She made us read and acknowledge all of the rules and tripled down on the no alcohol rule as if we couldn’t read the signs every 20 feet. This place truly is a hidden gem, but this obnoxious host really ruined our experience.

We have been here many times and usually the bath house was not cleaned well at all. This time the bath house and campground were clean and well kept.

The camp hosts have every big dogs that seem very uncomfortable around guest who have to check in. Other than that the stay was nice, quiet and comfortable. We have stayed there before with the new host and I was actually afraid to go up to his site to check in because I was afraid his dog might get out before he could make him stay inside. I love animals and have pets of my own, but I was afraid of his.

After traveling quite a way on dirt roads to get there, the paved roads and sites of Arrowhead were a relief. However, those paved sites are far from level, and pose quite a risk to long campers. Ours is short, so we fared well, but we witnessed the serious issues of another camper. The Badin Lake Trail is great, although too long for old folks like us. We cut across and returned to camp a shorter way. Walking along the lake was wonderful though. Our mid-March stay was very quiet, and we'd return again, being very choosy about the site.

Great experience overall. However, campers should be told ahead of time about no black water dumping and the fact that filling fresh water tank may be a tricky hookup.

Great showers at the campground. Lots of great hiking trails in the area.

Nice clean wooded campground. However, even though the website said that there was potable water available it was turned off when we got there. We had to backtack 10 miles to a store to fill up. Not acceptable.
