Beautiful!! Very peaceful and family friendly, We glamped, so they had a really nice tent already set up for us, My two teens and I slept comfortably on the double bed and cot provided My only complaint is the access to the firewood, We checked in on a Friday, so we left home after work and school and arrived shortly after the gate ranger left They ask you to not bring any wood and only buy from them, so we were left with no wood that night and cold cut sandwiches.. But overall great place !!

We had one of the "glamping" sites. While it was a small site we were very comfortable. I was able to park our small van and one other car. The tent was sweet! The fact that they put a power source, a Goal Zero Battery in the tent was a really nice touch. This powers provided lights and allowed us to charge phones, etc. I would recommend an additional blanket if early season. We were there in Mid May - the nights get a bit chilly so having an extra blanket was nice. But in the summer the provided bedding would be perfect. We stayed for 2 nights. I would definitely stay here again!

Very nice people run this place. The yurt was nice and the bed was a comfy foam mattress, though a little hot. The guests across the way forgot to use their quiet camping voices way too late into the night and that sucked. The trails around this place were fantastic. They will make it worth another visit.

Everyone we encountered that worked there was nice and hospitable. The yurt sites were well maintained and the beds seem to be taken care of. This location is close to the NC Arboretum and the Cradle of Forestry as well as several hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The only complaint would be that our yurt just so happen to have a broken zipper on the screen door flap so we either had to have the yurt all the way open or all the way closed, but we made it work.
It was a great relaxing getaway. The tent was great and the entire campground was very clean. The hosts were very helpful and informational. However, as stated on the website due to Covid there is no longer an ice chest. This is no problem as we had brought our own. However it is stated on the website that there is a lantern and firewood neither of which is provided. We were told upon checking in that if we wanted firewood we would have to go back out of the campground to a couple of the local stores to hopefully purchase some if they had it. Fortunately we had brought our own firewood and lanterns but I feel that the lack these two items should be expressly mentioned when the reservation is made. In addition there are stinkbug issues at several sites. Our site was one of the less problematic but 4 days after our return home we were still finding the occasional stinkbug in our home even after diligently hanging our gear in the garage to air and try to find all the little buggers. This will need to be addressed in the future either by somehow sealing the floors of the platform or some other method as this is how the stink bugs are getting into the tents.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
