Best view at site 9, with a trail to the water where you can set up a hammock, make sure you bring some bug spray, wonderful host, very clean and quiet sites, close to Morehead and Beaufort, great town for biking, absolutely a gem.

The site was beautiful. I was there in mid-December when a storm was approaching so we had the entire campground to ourselves other than the camp host. It was a great spot and Tanya (the camp host) was very friendly and accommodating. The facilities were clean and the access to the water and the trail was as advertised and close. Highly recommend!

Could not have been better. Perfect location. Quiet and peaceful yet close to town. We'll be back!

This place is a hidden gem. We visited during the first weekend in October and there were no bugs. Campsites have a lot of privacy apart from number 13. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table which are a little beat up but still usable.Sites 7,9, and 11 all have a little path that brings you to the water. No showers at this place but two outhouses. Water is available also at various locations. Some people complained about the road on the way in, it has now been sorted. Only thing I noticed was the lack of signage for the campground when we were close but Googlemaps took care of that. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Nice quiet spot. Bring water as it is a dry campground. Camp host very nice.

The campground host was a little overbearing with the Covid safety thing. I understand we need to social distance and be cautious and all that, but to be confronted while walking down the road and told that we can't visit any other campsites, not even to enter an unoccupied site? That decision should be left up to the campers, not the campground host, in my opinion. Otherwise, the campground is clean and the sites are spacious but bring plenty of bug spray! Facilities are minimal, no showers and bathrooms are crude. Better suited for travel trailers and RV's with their own facilities.

Its a great find. Beautiful river view and a great trail to boot ! The host was very nice and friendly. However, the forest road 181 was the worst road i have ever traveled on. Hugh pot holes and soft shoulders is extremely hard on a vehicle. In my stay, my wife got stuck, had to call a tow truck to get her out. There were two more vehicles that got stuck in the mud. Get the road fixed and you would have a pearl at Oyster Point.

Campground and my site was clean and host was helpful. I went there to kayak and fish and had a great trip. It is somewhat primitive but has potable water spigots- bring some buckets and pit toilets. I planned accordingly and all went well. Enjoy.
