My family reserved #76 for 3 nights: Oct. 21 - 24. The first two nights were wonderful. No bugs and solitude with nature. Then came the third night. Campers arrived next to us informing us they were planning a big party that night. They compared loudly their liquor supply. The item that won was 83 proof. As they spoke with us, it was more of a warning of what we were expected to face that night. We opted to leave early. We did not want confrontation. As we left, gazebos were coming out and tables with kegs. I thought there were rules.

Juniper Springs is a beautiful park with a great campsite, nature is absolutely beautiful. Kayak operation is not so much. Be aware that if/when you rent a kayak, you are asked to haul the kayaks down the starting point yourselves. They were quite heavy, for me and my young child. Staff at the kayak pick up location not friendly, rude if I may say. The kayak route is not for beginners. Quite a bit obstacles (fallen trees) along the way, you need to lay down flat in order to pass certain parts and continue your kayak journey. It took us 5.5 hours to complete the tour. I would not recommend large kayak on this path and I dont recommend it with kids. Scenery was amazing.

Stayed for two nights. All the staff were very friendly. Our campsite was in the tent only loop and although the site it self was good they were too close together. I could literally hear our neighbor snoring at night. We Kayaked Juniper Run which was a highlight. We were disappointed some of the walkways were closed and in disrepair.

This place has changed. 3 pavilions closed, and the walk from the campground to the river was unnavigable due to lack of maintenance. The boardwalks to the put in were also closed. Also, when some young and exuberant kids came into the park at 1:00 am making lots of noise, playing loud music, and not be considerate or following guidelines I felt I had no choice but to tolerate it. We all left early and only spent one night instead of the two we paid for due to the conditions.

The campgrounds are close to the restrooms and the restrooms were clean at all hours. The only thing that I didn't like is that all the campsites are very farted. I like a little more privacy.

As soon as I checked in, Denise was fantastic- full of information about hiking trails to local eateries. The park guests were quiet yet friendly, grounds/ bathrooms were well maintained & I appreciated being able to stay a bit longer after checking out of my campsite.

Very nice campground, the site was clean and manicured. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was busy with a lot of people, but that was expected. Juniper & Alexander Springs are top notch camp grounds and we try to go every year. Ray G.

Everyone we encounter Staff wise was very professional, super friendly and helpful with our needs for our stay. Sadly we were disappointed we could not rent kayaks or canoes to paddle in Juniper springs and had to leave the campground for the day to find other springs which was a bit of a hassle. Loop 1 & 2 could use more foliage and fauna its so bare between each campsite. Three is the best Loop to stay in adequate foliage around.

Campsites were fantastic! We are tent campers and they have everything you need on the sites! Fire pits, grills, lock up storage bin, extra long picnic table, shepherds hook for your lantern, and plenty of space. Bathrooms were clean. Loved having the wash room to do dishes in. Beautiful springs and walking paths. I would definitely come back!

This park is currently under new management by a private concessionaire. They are trying, but not doing very well. Kayak/canoe rental was unavailable due to them not having their van yet. The concession store was closed and completely empty. The womens bathroom was ok but mens was filthy, also a lack of toilet paper and this didnt change in 3 days. I was disappointed they closed off the jump platform in the springs pool. There were large roots sticking out of the ground in our site and along the path to the bathhouse. (Fern loop) You have to really watch where you walk. I did not see anyone driving around checking on things through the campground. We camped here a lot years ago and the place has gone downhill but it is still nice there and we enjoyed ourselves with our teenage grandson. Juniper Springs Run was a little overgrown & narrow but still a beautiful paddle. We had to stage cars at the takeout because the outfitter was not up and running yet. Theyve only been there a few months. You can still get a 50% discount on camping reservations with your Natl Park Pass, but if youre just going for the day, you no longer get in free. You pay 1/2 for every 4 people per pass. We were told Alexander, Salt, and Silver Glen Springs are also now the same.
