We stayed at Juniper Springs Campground. It must have been spectacular back in the 40s and 50s with its winding boardwalks, beautiful springs, rustic shelters. Unfortunately, it hasnt been maintained; trails are closed, shelters cordoned off, programs suspended. Its in such poor condition that I was actually embarrassed each time I encountered someone from a different country. The main spring is gorgeous, though, and looks like a wonderful place to swim. Maps are no longer handed out, but you can take a picture of it with your phone. We were there at the end of March and the ticks were plentiful.

Had a great time here; only drawback is the bathroom.. it could use some attention sometimes and its very cold and drafty.

Ignore any bad reviews for this site - the views were breathtaking. The site is located under a canopy of extremely tall trees and is open on the front and right sides (which caused a previous bad review I saw on this site). Yet, behind the site is a dense forest, and although in the open, it is only visible to two other sites under the large canopy of trees. Absolutely loved it. Watch out for ticks and don't expect electricity.

Nice park and camping experience. We were in Fern loop, and we did not hear any generators day or night which was nice. Most campsites in that loop are not very private but they are good size. #74 is very private and large, most of the others not so much. #71 is really not a good site, avoid it, wide open and the one good place for a tent is in a gully and muddy. Bathroom was super clean. Water in spigots nearby each tent site. You can hear the road overnight but we didn't notice it during the day. Juniper Springs is not very attractive but it's a great swimming hole with lots of space around it. Swimming in February, imagine that! The camp store is closed but the ticket booth sells ice and firewood. The canoe rental is closed, the boardwalk is closed and the mill is closed, seems to have been closed a long time, felt a little like a ghost town. But you can still walk to Fern Hammock Springs which is just beautiful. The Fern Loop is in fact very close to it. The staff was friendly and most campers were well behaved. Full on the weekend, quiet quiet on Sunday. Lots of connecting paths to get around the park.

Great campsite with clean, accessible facilities. The park staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a canoe ride down the creek and took a dip in the spring. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

Very nice campsite. The canoe rental was closed due to Covid, so we were not able to enjoy the paddling. The springs were as refreshing as ever.

One of the most scenic springs we've been to. The size was quaint, but not crowded at all (mid-week stay). The facilities were very well maintained, and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Good campgrounds with solid amenities. Only issue was lack of privacy between campsites.
