Very good experience! The only downfall was the hot water in the showers didnt seem to work half of the time.

Sites themselves are great and private for the tent campers on the outside edge of Sandpine loop. However the tiny bathroom on this loop is not well maintained and has no hot water. The next loop, Fern Hammok, has large and great bathrooms with hot showers, however the sites are wide open and clearly intended for large groups to share. The tropical loop has great bathrooms, but the sites are for RVs and have zero privacy. If you are tent campers, try to stay near site 60 on Sandpine loop, and you can just walk to the good bathrooms at the next loop. Each site has large bear/raccoon boxes, big enough for 2 coolers or more. Be sure to put every food and toiletry item in there whenever not in camp or when sleeping. The wildlife is very intense and curious, and they will go after things like toothpaste. Do not leave items in car, unless you want bear scratches on your paint job. The kayaking trail is top notch, but not for anyone inexperienced. Weekends seem to draw a loud lively crowd, so maybe pack earplugs. All boardwalks are closed and dilapidated. No fix coming any time soon due to funding and now ancient artifacts being discovered so nothing can be disturbed. Contact your local representative to help keep legislation moving on this. Beautiful springs and we can't wait to come back. Kayak route takes 4 hours at a quick pace or longer if you just float casually. Rapids are cute and unexpected. Only 2 very small sections of baby rapids. Could be more intense after heavy rains.

We have stayed here for over 20 years and the site was not cleaned prior to our arrival. We were disappointed but still managed to make the most of it.

Excellent site, very friendly staff, and a beautiful area. Will definitely come again.Do keep in mind, no water or power on sites, so plan accordingly. Plenty of space for tents, and nicely setback from the loop and other sites.

Everything was great except the 11am check out time, for tent campers that is a little unreasonable and unrealistic. Ive been camping here for over 40 years and the security around the spring now has just gotten out of hand, Friday-Sunday they were just crazy with rules that were also unrealistic, we had a small blow up pool for one of our 1 year old children to play in that was safer and they yelled at us for dipping the water out of the spring in a sand bucket to put in the pool, if the water replenishs why does it matter it was going to be dumped back in the spring when we were done and the pool was not going to be left there either, they were so looming it kept us from having fun and made our entire party of 20+ people uncomfortable. We had a total of 11 camp sites occupied and were just trying to enjoy ourself as a group and we couldnt enjoy the spring the way they were just hovering around. We always come here and never get crazy or unruly we use it as a family reunion/bonding experience annually and everyone in our group agrees that these above statements are ridiculous and something needs to change. The nature trail needs to be fixed and reopened as well after it being closed for over 3 years itd be nice to have it open again!

Site 57 has a badly damaged grill and fire pit for the last 2 years I have stayed there at least.

Camped for 3 nights. Campground very good, nice private sites. I had planned to canoe the great Juniper springs run, but was very disappointed that the canoe rental concession was no longer operating - bummer! Enjoyed short hiked in and around the springs.

Easy check in/out. Great private campsites.

Ticks like I've never seen before. We all got them and never left the campsite area, except to walk on the road to the spring. The spring was beautiful, but extremely crowded. Social distancing not possible, and if you camp you can't drive to the spring, must walk the 1/2 mile each way.

We really loved our trip to Juniper Springs. Our campground was so spacious and everything was clean. The bathrooms could use new toilet seats but they were very very clean. I can't wait to come back.
