This is our third time at this park. It is always lovely and peaceful. Trails to hike, water to swim, nearby adventures to experience.

It was too cold. Didn't realize that it was going to be cold this day

Campsites on Sand Loop are very private and large. The bath house was well cleaned. Enjoyed time around the spring head swim area. The Juniper Run kayaking was epic with crystal clear water, canopy trees and even some small rapids in the mix. The run is not very wide or deep and has plenty of gators, so it takes some courage (or stupidity ). If you take the run, you will need to be aware of your surroundings for 4 hours and 7 miles stay safe and have fun my follow campers!

Beautiful campsites. Wish website was kept up to date - we would have loved to have kayaked, but didn't plan on it as website says that kayaking services are closed, which is not true.

The campground itself was very nice, but the politicians left the rest of the park in disarray. NOTHING is open to see. Every single boardwalk is closed; rendering the trails useless, theyre letting the stone bridge just fall apart its a shame. Where are the tax dollars going??? Apparently not to the park.

Overall lovely trip- we did excursions to other areas of the National Forest outside of Juniper Springs each day. We tent camped in the sand loop. The campsite itself was great- fairly private from other sites due to the plants surrounding the site; nice place for setting up a tent; nice picnic table; fire ring with cooking grate was wonderful. The parts we didn't like: right next to the highway, and the road noise kept us up during the night at times; there is no dishwashing sink in this loop, so we had to carry everything to the neighboring loop a couple times a day; the firewood they have for purchase is barely wood- more like bark- which made campfire cooking a challenge, so I would recommend bringing your own wood; our bear box was so difficult to operate, we were barely able to use it (I don't know if ours was just not functioning properly or if they're all that bad; I've used bear boxes in plenty of other places with no issue).

Consideration for solo travelers with pets. Signage says do not leave pets unattended. Signage also does not allow pets in restroom facilities. I was unable to shower at all during my stay. I had to use a bucket in my car to go to the bathroom. Website says there are only certain areas where pets are not allowed when in fact, pets are not allowed anywhere other than the campground grounds.
