Beautiful location. Most of the trails inside the park were closed for repairs and appeared to have been closed for a long time.

Jacqueline at the ranger check-in station was extremely helpful. The park ranger who informed me of the accident on route 40 was also extremely helpful. Both were very kind, considerate and easy and welcoming to talk to.

Used to be a great destination, however a lack of maintenance, closed trails, and unsanitary bathroom conditions and roach filled bear boxes have turned the former crowned jewel of Florida parks into a thing of the past.

The beauty of our campsite, the awesome Spring and the bubbling limestone undercurrents made for a marvelous stay. We ended up using only one of a two night stay and were fully refunded for the unused night. Not many campgrounds will refund unused stays.

I have been camping at Juniper springs campground for the last 25 years and have seen it deteriorate over the years with little or no repairs. The roads and travel camper sites asphalt is crumbling. The sites themselves, because of using a powered blower, rather than rake to remove debris at the sites, have created a hollowed area around the site that when it rains it holds water like a pool. The beautiful boardwalk has been closed for 6 years because some parts have collapsed. It would have been better to just keep it a dirt trail. The pavilions around the campsites have been closed for years. You have contracts with outside entities that you should, consider in the bid process, what type of improvements that outside company will undertake to get the contract

What a great experience. Weather was perfect for a swim I the Juniper Spring absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Plenty of hiking trails that you can take your fur baby on. Close to Ocala for shopping or site seeing. The campground also sells firewood which is a huge plus.

Nice camping area, however would be nice to have electric.
The day use area is nice, but needs a lot of work on the boardwalk trails.
overall would go back, but only on cool days.

We love Juniper Springs. One of the few springs left where people can swim and that still has eel grass and natural vegetation. The only spring we've ever seen eels and we love the fish that are in the spring. I wish that the campground had power because we can only camp there in colder months and swimming in the spring at that time is painfully cold. I also wish there were better signage at the street when heading west bound, we nearly missed the turn and we'd been there before. The bathhouses are old but clean and the campsites are level and well maintained. Just wish we could camp there in the summer.

Wonderful campsite experience! Sad I only stayed for one night. Will definitely be back for a longer trip! The springs are gorgeous and the canoe run is definitely an unforgettable experience!
