Pros: friendly and helpful staff, nice wooded surroundings, clean restrooms and showers, well maintained campsitesCons: road noise (loud mufflers, motorcycles) into the late night, fairly congested tent camping spaces (neighbor's tent about 15 feet from mine), loud music from distant neighbors

Beautiful area, the spring and the old mill are very picturesque, the facilities are clean, and the staff were helpful. We camped for 5 nights with our dog and had a great time. There are good hiking trails nearby and other springs (e.g. Alexander Springs, Salt Springs, Silver Springs, Blue Springs) to visit - all just a short drive from Juniper Springs. Ice and firewood are sold on site, but for anything else, the nearest grocery store is about 10 miles away in the town of Astor.

We come to America’s last natural places to enjoy nature so why do you allow music at all? If someone wants music they can go anywhere ( a concert, a bar, stay home) - those of us who like to hear the sounds of nature officially have no where to go. We had to listen to loud music half the night. It is unfair - we didn’t sign up for a concert. Second- why allow people to set up camp after quiet hours? The people next to us showed up at 11:30 pm - we were awake 2 more hours while they set up their tent, opened and closed car doors 100 times, their dog barking while they were setting up. This was our worst camping experience ever. We signed up for 3 nights but left after only one night.

Nice campground. We’ll kept, the Fern sites don’t have much privacy but still an enjoyable experience.
