The Juniper Springs itself is a beautiful example of Florida Springs.The Juniper Springs campground facility continues its decline through neglect of maintenance. For example our bathroom urinal nearest my campsite would gush a small amount of toilet wastewater upon flushing, in preparation, you had to take care to get your shoes out of range.Also one of the auto-off hot water sink faucets was prone to sticking in the ON position. Upon one visit it was found full on and had depleted all available hot water, I waited half an hour before returning for my shower. This same problem was reported the last time I visited Juniper Springs, early 2023 I believe.

The campground at this first-class Florida spring has declined. The road surface has degraded with holes and humps, presumably caused by tree roots. The camp bathroom fixtures are failing also, specifically the spring-return to OFF sink and shower faucets. Either they stick open or there is no control of the rate of flow. Sometime only a tiny flow is needed, not possible here, these faucets are all or nothing.

We had such an amazing time at Juniper Springs and created some new memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Our fellow campers were so kind and so welcoming. The only negative we had during our stay was the front gate check in lady, she was very negative and somewhat rude, but after check-in we didn't have anymore contact with her. I think she was discriminating against our age, our group consisted of two young couples. Besides that interaction our stay at Juniper Springs was one for the books!

The campsites were spacious and wooded. The staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Our major disappointment was that the park sponsored canoe trips were cancelled due to Covid.

The campground was beautiful - hot showers, clean bathrooms and quiet. Only 2 things that would help. There are no electrical outlets in the bathrooms - hard to dry your hair. Also, had a very hard time finding the campground - we came in late at night and passed the entrance 3 times before we saw the sign (on the opposite side of the road). Needs to be lit to be seen at night.
