Nice campground and facilities. Close access to hiking trails and the springs are great for a swim afterwards!

The campsites are partially/fully shaded with foliage creating privacy from other campers. Each site has a paved driveway and well defined level tent pad. Sites are large enough for 2 vehicles and a small group of people. Fire rings, a table, and a bear box large enough for 3+ large coolers are on each site. Water is shared between 3-4 sites and there is no electric. Highway noise was audible, but not loud enough to be disruptive. The bathhouse is clean and adequate. There were a lot of ticks, so bug repellent is recommended. The spring is beautiful with a year-round 72 degree temperature offering year round swimming and snorkeling, but does not have a shallow area where you can touch the bottom. There are open areas with picnic tables and hiking paths. The pavilion was closed when we were there. A connector trail connects to the Florida Trail for extended hiking. You can rent kayaks (and soon canoes we were told) and experience one of the best canoe trails in the state of Florida, however it is very technical and is NOT recommended for first time paddlers. The 7.3 mile trail features lot of twists, turns, obstacles and logs just under the surface that can tip you over and even a short rapid section. Even experienced paddlers will get pushed into the brush by the current. It is mostly shaded with lots of foliage and plenty of wildlife to see including alligators. Allow about 4 hours to complete it. Juniper Springs is a popular destination (but not over crowded) so if you are camping, reserve your site early. The park has a relaxing natural atmosphere with fantastic springs, great camp sites, a premier canoe trail and friendly staff!

Site description discussed that some trial maintenance was being performed. It should state that all trails are closed. The facilities need a lot of maintenance for trails and the wood surround for water faucets.

Park was well maintained and peaceful. Our RV campsite and restroom facility was very clean. Generator use was permitted until 10 PM but most RVers shut down by 8 PM.

The crew here is run by as best I can describe it a "Karen". Not friendly just a bunch of zombies. It's a shame as this is such a beautiful facility. Juniper Springs is run by Adventures Ocola. If you want to see a good crew then check out the ones at Alexander Springs and Clearwater Lake, the folks who work there are top notch they say hi to you they know who you are they treat you like family. One of the best experiences with a crew I've had in my well over 300 something Days on the road.

Pretty place, campsites in Sandpine loop secluded. But, there was no hot water in the shower and only one shower. Its sad that the nature trail was closed and cant rent kayaks. Hopefully that will change.

Staff was friendly and helpful getting into the park and bathrooms were decently clean or camping. Other than that, the springs and campground were not what we were expecting. Disappointing to say the least.

Very nice campground. The staff was very friendly and informative. The restrooms and showers were very clean. It was disappointing that the boardwalk was closed and it looked like it has been closed for a long time.

Been here numerous times. Campsites always nice. Last couple years there have been up charges on rates, spring run charge even when camping and to have a friend or family member stay a night, charge for their vehicle. Never have any of this at state parks. Kinda ruins the camping experience especially when alone and would enjoy a family member or friend to stay!

Beautiful campground, though a number of maintenance items needed attention. The staff were helpful and friendly. We travel with our dog, I was very disappointed by the widespread restrictions on where we could walk with our dog.

This park means so much to me, my family, and friends. We've been camping here for almost a decade. It's the BEST tent camping park in Ocala. There's enough privacy between lots in the Sand Pine loop. The rec area boasts a beautiful water spring that's a cool 72 all year round. The park is large so there's tons to explore. I pray that this camping ground survives for years to come.
