It was easy to book the campsites. The park rangers were very helpful. The restrooms were clean. The springs were well maintained. The kayak run was great fun!

Good location. Showers and restrooms nice. Hiking trails were busy for time of year.

Amazing place. Although just there for one night, so peaceful and beautiful experience.

Juniper Springs Recreational Area is a beautiful piece of Florida. The Springs themselves are amazing and crystal clear! Sadly, while we were camping here the boardwalks and Millhouse were closed for repairs. This is understandable and just an excuse for us to return! The Kayak shuttle service was also not operating so we went West to Silver Springs and paddled the river there. Their shuttle is still running. The campgrounds are nice but they are squeezed together at least in the Fern Hammock Loop where it is tents only. We were separated by a thin line for palmettos between us and our neighbors to our back and then by the road to our neighbors to our front. if you don't mind close quarters camping with a really clean bathhouse nearby then Juniper springs is for you. I would have preferred dispersed camping in the forest but my wife needs plumping she says

Nice well maintained camping area. Liked the firepit and bear proof storage container, wish site had electric. Even when it's 60° outside still good to go swimming at the springs.

Beautiful campground, especially since we had it all to ourselves. We had the restroom closest to the restroom. #24 i think. It was a bit creepy at night since we were all alone lol. 2 stray cats kept us company. They were adorable. Campground was clean. Juniper springs was clean too. Bring swim shoes because the walls you walk on is super slimey and slippery. And its deep so bring a floaty.

Our favorite place to camp in Florida! If you are a tent camper, be sure to book in Fern loop to avoid generator noise. Very quiet and the springs and trails are beautiful. We went horseback riding with Makin’ Tracks in Ft. McCoy and it was outstanding. The kayak shuttle for the park was closed for COVID, but a rental as Silver Springs gave us a lovely day outside. Krazy K’s ice cream is about ten minutes away and is a nice treat on warm days.

The neighboring campers were loud and partied all night long. We have camped at other springs and have never had this issue. The life guard wasnt friendly. The conservationist wasnt friendly.

We had a wonderful family camping trip to Juniper Springs. But here are a few things to consider when planning your next trip: Pros: Very clean camping sites. No trash around. Close to walking trails. Firewood available for purchase. Picnic tables , grill , bear box and fire pit with grill available at each site. Cons: Bathroom was not cleaned daily. Due to the park being a bit crowded, the womens shower had hair and hair ties everywhere. Sites are awfully close to one another, there are trees and shrubs in between but you could still hear your neighbors conversations. Sites located in the middle of the campsites are much smaller than those on the outside. Overall its a beautiful place to visit, the springs are crystal clear and if you like to kayak this place is for you. A wonderful weekend getaway.
