Very nice campground with large camp sites. The area is well maintained and the camp host is friendly and helpful. During cooler weather the restrooms are cold since they are not heated, but other wise in pretty good shape.

Excellent campsite in the woods. Dark sky with amazing start. Clean sites and friendly hosts. Options for swimming and hiking. Could hear the owls at night!Only one small thing: noice of the hunting dogs starting early in the morning. Even a dog and vehicle on the campgrounds. That doesn't match our expectations of a natural environment and camping in a state forest.

We have stayed at this park the last three years, while taking our winter trip. As stated in the reservation notes this park does not provide electric, but our generator works well for us. This is a quite park, with clean restrooms. The lake is nice to hike around, with other trails to hike. This past January we were able to call an owl in, just above our campsite. It stay for quite awhile. About a half hour drive you can arrive in Eastpoint, FL, where you can take the bridge to St George Island, and spend the day on the beach. We are very happy with this park.

Beautiful campground with lots of room between sites. Nice trail system for wonderful hikes. Jay and Bruno (the campground hosts) were very nice and professional at the same time. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was for some maintenance issues. The non potable water at the dump sight had a serious leak at the top of the hose stand, a light was out in the bathroom and the shower heads need replacing badly. We will definitely go back there again.

Wright Lake Campground is beautifully located in the national forest with a bathhouse and water at each campsite. No electric (which is fine with me). A few campsites can get a several hours of solar each day. Wear orange hunter safety vests when hiking. We had a hunters bullet ricochet off of trees in the campground while we were there. Dont know if that is normal, but it is something to keep in mind. The lake is quiet but probably not the best place to swim with alligators in the area (not unexpected). Jay, the host, was the best host Ive had in 50+ years of camping. Jay was a perfectionist at keeping the bathhouse clean and the trash cans empty. While those are likely expectations of most campers, that was only the beginning of his professionalism. Jay welcomed every camper and did his best to accommodate their needs. When a couple conflict problems arose, Jay was there to calm and resolve the problems. When the weather turned cold for 3 nights (14F degrees in Florida), Jay came up with a plan to keep the water running 24/7 and saved the bathhouse and campsite spigots from freezing. Probably the most interesting attribute about Jay is that he likes people. Ive stayed places where the host was a ghostnever seen or available. Jay was always around and available, personable and friendly. We had a great stay at Wright Lake Campground.

Nice facilities and well kept. This would be a good place for stargazing, if the lights from the bath house were not so bright. I was planning to ask the host if we could cover them for one night, but we decided to depart earlier.

Only a few other campers, but everyone was nice, quiet and respectful. Bathroom was stocked frequently with TP and soap. There was one shower stall not working.
