Our stay at Camel Lake Campground was great. There are only 10 sites, so it was very intimate. The lake was beautiful, the site was a pull-thru and roomy.

Glen the CG host was fantastic. So friendly and welcoming! The CG was well kept and sunsets over lake spectacular!

Remote, quiet, just what the doctor ordered. Large campsites, clean bath house, friendly and helpful staff. 5 outta 5!

A beautiful place and quiet setting. Space was huge and view of lake spectacular. Host was very nice and helpful.

Impressed by the large, well-spaced campsites with mature trees and shade, clear swimmable lake steps away, clean facilities, and its situated along the Florida Trail making for easy hiking. (Be prepared for wet swampy stretches of trail especially if youre heading West out of the campground past Memery Island). Also enjoyed the shorter loop trail that goes around Camel Lake. Also only about an hour from Apalachicola/Eastpoint if you want to check out the coast. As far as campgrounds go this is a total winner!

Beautiful park in a fabulous area, camp host was great. Lake is lovely but very small- more like a pond, good for a quick paddle.

Nice small clean quiet CG on the edge of Camel Lake. Hosts are very friendly and helpful. Be aware that this CG is 50 miles from the coast in a huge boggy very remote pine forest . Nearest gas and convenience is 20-25 minutes away.

Amazing experience at this campground. Such a beautiful site. Take the trail around the lake at sunrise hour, you won't regret it!!! Found the gnome that the host placed along the trail :)

This was my first experience traveling in my camper and I decided to boondock. I can honestly say that I was truly blessed to have a camp host, Rick, on duty while I was at Camel Lake. He could not have been more helpful with all kinds of tips and tricks to help a newbie such as myself. He even installed a second battery in my camper for me and assisted with hooking up and unhooking the camper on the day of departure. Besides the hosts, the actual site is beautiful, super peaceful and a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle. Highly recommend this campground.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The little lake is so beautiful and clean, and the campsite was a nice size. The only problem was the host was unwelcoming and seemed pretty angry from the moment she checked us in. We didn't have to interact with her much until our last day. On the way out, I stopped at the restroom at the day use area since the campsite restroom was occupied for a while. Apparently, the host wanted to clean it at that exact time. The moment I entered the bathroom, she charged over from the campsite. While I was in the stall for only a minute or two, she had opened the main door and yelled at me 3 different times. Once saying "This isn't a public restroom!" Even though I'm sure she saw me just leave the campsite. Definitely the angriest camp host I've met, but at least I got some laughs out of the awkward story

The campground was lovely. The campsites were all large and private. Bathrooms were clean. Host was very friendly! Beautiful little lake.
