The entrance road needs work. Need frequent trash pick up. Campsite great and bathrooms cleaned.

Love it, would stay two weeks if sewer was available.

The campground is out of the way in a very nice setting. Lots of room for each campsite (only 10 sites, and only 4 of these have electric and water). No real complaints about our stay here. Nice 1.2 mile walk around the small lake on a well maintained trail. Sunsets and sunrises were nice. Hosts were friendly and helpful.The 2-mile gravel road to the campground has 5 bad places that are rough on the camper. I wouldn't think that it would take much time or money to fix these places.A dump station at the campground would also be a plus. The bathrooms only have a single stall, but this wasn't a problem as there weren't many people there. Showers have hot water!All in all we had a great experience at Camel Lake Campground!

Perfect getaway. Sites are big it was easy to park our 39 ft 5th wheel. Host was awesome!Would definitely go back. Just make sure you dump

As far as our site and the campground, excellent! Our timing this year hot, humid, BUGS everywhere not so much. Thank God for our camper & A/C; tent camping wouldve been a nightmare. Weve stayed, before, same time of year, a couple years ago absolutely wonderful! No fuss, no bugs, and great weather.

Host did not actually clean the restrooms most of the week we were there. Simply replaced the toilet paper. I cleaned the sink to make it somewhat usable. The showers were filthy to the point of unusable. Campsites we not cleaned. We cleaned up litter and cleaned out the fiepit ourselves. A new host is needed.

Really nice for quite and relaxation, with only 10 campsites but only 4 with electric and water hookup. No sewer hookup or dump station. Camel Lake was nice to paddle board on, didn't see any gators, but heard they are there. Mostly active at night is what we heard. But we did see a Eastern diamond back rattle snake yikes 4 1/2 ft long while out walking on the trail. Bathroom only had 1 shower with push button shower, Needs to be updated, pain to have to keep pushing to get your shower in. 1 bath shower for women and 1 for men. It did have 1 toilet for women and 1 for men in the camp area itself and 1 each up by the Lake area. If you just want peace and relaxation and out in the forest it is that indeed. 2 mile bumpie road to get back into the campground... go slow! Wished they had full hookup and more sites with electric and water..

A quiet ,peaceful place. The camp host was very kind and helpful. The facility does need a dump station

We had a great time. Nice location, peaceful. Some wildlife nearby - iguanas and birds. Full hookups. Nice and quiet at night. We'd visit again. We were in a 30' Airstream travel trailer.

We came here to try out our new camper and loved it. The trail around the lake is very well kept and out camp site was very private. We'll definitely be going back.

A lovely little campground. The hosts were very friendly. I would have liked to spend more time here.

The road into the facility has significant rough spots, so it’s slow going. The camp hosts are attentive and friendly. The campsites are spacious, with a nice trail around the lake. It was a lovely spot to spend a few days. There was plenty of space to maneuver and park our 36 ft big rig.

Great lakeside campsite with water and 30amp service. Paved drive, picnic table and fire ring, all very nice. Large trees, great trails, great campground hosts. Early in season, so we didn't use the beach, but very nice too.

Nice quiet and peaceful small campground. Very friendly camp host. Would return again in future.

A great view from sites #1 and #2 and plenty of privacy and space on most of the other sites. Lots of nice hikes, including the Florida Trail. Electric hookup and water worked fine. Has a really nice beach. Very few sites and well landscaped. Single flush toilet and shower are fine.
@PamelaJ182 · Camped on Dec 9, 2021 at Campsite #4
Campground itself is beautiful. No laundry. 2 mile long road leading to campground is full of pot holes, Boulder size rocks that are used to fill holes. Very difficult to pull a trailer over.

Wendy and Bill , camp host were very friendly and had all the tricks and knowledge you need to stay in this area. Location was beautiful but very hot in early June. We enjoyed our stay.

The lake is beautiful. Pack plenty of bug spray, ice, firewood, and water. The location is very remote.
@JDB788 · Camped on Feb 26, 2021 at Campsite #4
Nice quite little camp ground.. No septic dump, and there is a $10 charge for electric, as well as a $8 booking fee on top of the regular rates. That's a pretty steep price compared to what we are used to. Each site has plenty of space as well as privacy from adjacent sites. Strongly recommend bringing a box fan to keep the knats at bay, as well as your favorite bug spray if walking around. Camp host were very friendly!
@CAROLS655 · Camped on Feb 12, 2021 at Campsite #4
Camel Lake is a very small campground, 10 sites, I believe. There is a 2 mile dirt road to the campground. It feels very isolated so keep that in mind. A few sites have water and electric, but not all. There is no dumping station. The bathrooms were clean. The walking path around the lake was very enjoyable.

A pristine beautiful setting! It’s peaceful and quiet and away from all the hustle and bustle. The camp hosts were extremely nice and informative about the area too. We just loved it!

Peaceful, beautiful, relaxing, quiet, and plenty of room between campsites. The camp managers were very, very nice and helpful. This was a perfect experience. We definitely will go back.
