It was spring break and the beach area wasn't open. Even if you were not swimming it would be nice just to let kids play in the sand and explore! Definitely recommend a playground and make it a little more kid/ family oriented.

This facility is a Gem! We stayed in the Firefly Loop Site #33 along with friends who stayed in #34 & also #35. The camp host is another Gem. She was very helpful with information, firewood and ice. Area is gated and patrolled often. Sites are spacious, offer shade in most, some have a small glimpse of Lewis Smith Lake and the area is bicycle friendly. Our site was clean and well groomed. Sounds like everything was too perfect huh? Well there is more. The loop down where the tent camping is also goes to a parking loop with water access/launching (good fishing & great for kayaks) and is also a beautiful area. We rode through the yellowhammer loop which also looked well maintained as well but we did not get out and look at any sites. The Day Use area is just outside of the gated campground and has plenty of picnic sites, a beach/swim area, a large boat launch area with parking and a restroom. What could make this place any better? If I had to come up with something it would be to maybe stock the office with a few camping necessities and ice cream. If you visit be sure and visit the old church/graveyard just outside the Campground/Day Use Area. Short trip into Double Springs which offers food, gas, groceries etc. Be sure and visit Bankhead National Forest with its many trails and waterfalls. Great Stay!

Corinth is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. We stayed in Firefly loop. Big site, grass area between each site. If you want a lake view choose site 16 on Yellow Hammer loop. All the Yellow Hammer sites have water views I think. Sadly they close for the season October 31st and open back up in March, We will be back in the Spring. Camp Host said bath house may be open next spring, no guarantees.

This is one of our favorite places to visit. It's close to home but seem like a million miles away--absolutely beautiful.

We have enjoyed every visit to Corinth. The staff is always nice, helpful and accommodating. The area is a beautiful place to stay in the quiet or play in the lake. We have had zero complaints and will continue to stay here.
