We absolutely love Corinth Recreation Area! I wish that the lake levels werent dropped so much, but I understand winter pool. Still a great place for camping! Not far from the campground is Double Springs AL and there is a fantastic little Italian restaurant that is surprisingly delish!

The staff and camp host are very pleasant and helpful. Available to answer your questions or tend to any issues. The park is very wooded, most sites have shade for much of the day. Campsites are very clean and have full hook ups. Some sites are large enough to accommodate a large RV with a toad or a boat. There is an onsite boat ramp area. The bathhouse is very clean and everything worked properly. The paved, one-way road through the the grounds provides a nice place for children to ride bikes or scooters. We camped with 4 grand-children 8 and under. They enjoyed having picnics at our sight, taking walks to find new wildflowers (But DO WATCH for the poison ivy), riding scooters and bike riding to the open areas in the evening to see the wildlife (deer with fawns, turkeys, armadillo with a baby and lots of birds). Cell phone service is spotty (but that doesn't bother me. I remember quiet camping before cell phones). There is no chemically treated swimming pool, however, they is have a huge, clear, beautiful natural pool named Smith Lake. Our grands loved it. My only negatives:The bath house could use a vent fan to help cool them during the evening hours. They can be quite warm and humid in the evening after everyone has showed.Kudzu has started creeping into some campsites, overtaking beautiful native plants like oakleaf hydrangea and native trees. I know this is a national forest, but should we allow a non-native plant to overtake this beautiful natural area?

Each site is as if you are by yourself in the wilderness. Long pull through sites. Restrooms and hot showers are great. Beach and ramp access for boats were well equipped. gated entrance. And helpful staff. Kudos to Barbara and WR for their kindness and care and maintaining Corinth Park. We give it an A1 recommendation.

Was unable to find anyone or process to cancel the reservation due to Hurricane Ida. We didnt attempt to make this trip into the storm path.

Our campsite was the largest and most private we have ever had in over 50 years of camping. The rest rooms are immaculate. Jennifer, our campground host was super friendly. My only suggestion is to have more information on Bankhead National Forest and the surrounding area available.
