Fantastic campground in a convenient location. If you get a spot along the river, you can barely hear the cars. It is so peaceful and beautiful. Very friendly camp host as well. Wish I could have stayed longer!

The campsites were clean. The camp host did a good job of cleaning the restrooms and making sure they were stocked with toilet paper. There is water at a spigot, for drinking and cooking etc, but it tastes terrible. This campground is very close to highway 26. Even with the river nearby, you WILL HEAR highway noise the entire time you are in the campground. We stayed there on a Sunday to Tuesday. From our campsite you could walk down to the river. There is a hike that begins close to the campground. Unfortunately, it also parallels highway 26.

Very lush green campground with a beautiful river nearby. I was worried it would be loud since it was near the highway but noise wasnt a problem at all.

We've been coming to Tollgate for 15yrs and it's our favorite camp! Bathrooms were always clean and smelled fresh, no foul odors. Only bummer, which is out of your control, was no campfires or bbq fires allowed but understandable with the dry weather. So to alleviate that, we bought a propane fire ring for next camping trip (win-win for all!)

Go to Timberline lodge, Trillium lake, and check for fire prohibitions.
