Cons:
-No site map online when booking, but that did add to the adventure!
-We arrived during the first week of fire restrictions, so the area had extremely fine dust throughout the campground and roads. Could be a problem for people with respiratory problems.
- Camp host have a gas (or propane) powered golf cart. It's not loud, but it's definitely unnecessary noise in a campground at Mt. Hood in Oregon. Plus, it's a small campground.
- No cell phone service within 7 miles each way along the hwy (or Tamanawas Falls). I add this because we couldn't plan next days adventures. Oh well! Me and my sis had two different carriers.
Pros:
- Spacious camp sites. Tent spots. Fire pits/grills
- Trees to hang hammocks
- Quiet
- Clean elevated toilets
- Creek access from most sites. If not, you can find a trail with no problem.
- Close to Government Camp for (possibly expensive) supplies.
- Small campground with little traffic/noise
We were in site 010 which is adjacent to the host. They do temporarily run a generator until 10pm, then fire it back up at 8am. Not much louder than the creek 100 feet away. It was fine I guess. But, what are they powering for so long!?!?
