Mid July lake was shallow with mud 6 deep over 50 directly out from high and dry boat ramp. Should be renamed Mud lake. Sites were nice and large but on a slope so hard to find flat tent space. No mosquitoes so that was nice. Only 15 mile drive to Timothy lake so spent the day there. Would I reserve again? Only if I couldnt get a spot at Timothy as we love to float in clear water.

Quite lake. Clean pit toilets. Thank you camp host! Easy access to boat ramp. Can easily take kayak to lakeside through trails straight from many campsites as trails have been established by others. These man made trails are discreet on the edge of other campsites. Many campsites have sloped ground, so no option of setting the tent on level area at our particular campsite. Wish I had thought of bringing a shovel! All in all we had a lovely weekend.

The bathrooms were the worst I have experienced in 30 years - they were absolutely filthy most of the time!!!!!

Beautiful campground and peaceful surroundings. The bathrooms were clean and overall everything is very well maintained. The lake is cold, and not swimable. The water is warm but dirty, and there was a cold wind our entire trip, which we cut short because we were all cold and with the lack of campfires we were pretty uncomfortable. Campfires were not allowed however the CAMP HOST himself had a giant campfire going our first night. Not sure if it was gas, or some other form of campfire, still we felt this was bad representation of a state-wide mandate to protect the forest. Well, we would have loved a fire, too. All in all, we left early due to the wind and the weather.

Had a wonderful time. Camp Host was courteous and helpful.
Lake was a little low which is why I cancelled my August 17th reservation for the same lake.
Will be trying to decide if I can get a reservation at Timothy or Frog Lake and reschedule.

This lake is now being drained dry by the middle of July (to irrigate just a few farmers out in the eastern Oregon desert) when it has always been at least half full into September for fishing and recreational activities! The boat launch has had NO money put into it in decades and now desperately needs to be updated and repaired. On this July 6th the boat launch was already completely out of the water by over 30 feet and made it impossible to launch a boat.....
