A trip to Clear Lake all depends on who else is there. You could have a site next to people teaching their kids to shoot BB guns and playing loud music and smoking pot all day. Or you could have great neighbors but the dispersed campers party all night long and you hear their music thumping across the lake. Or you could have a great time when neither of those things happen and you just get to enjoy the pretty lake, view of Mt. Hood and expansive shoreline. Basically, it's out of your hands and you have to leave it to fate when you go (or only go during the week, when it's usually a bit better). If you can deal with that (or the possibility of that) then it's a really nice alternative to Timothy.

Was a bit windy, water was very low, made paddleboarding a bit difficult, but Campground was nice and clean!
