We would normally camp at unimproved campgrounds but discovered this place and love it. Already stayed twice in the last month! Water level was really low the second time but still super peaceful!

We've been to this campground twice now in July and have to say, it is definitely one of our favorite spots to disconnect. The sites are completely primitive which means the kids need to put in a little extra work and honestly it's always just what the doctor ordered. The water is always on the cool side, but with as hot as it gets in July, it's absolutely perfect. We like to bring a shade tent and leave it up for the duration of our stay by the water's edge as there isn't really any natural shade. That and a few camp chairs makes hanging out by the lake the perfect summer day.

I love this campground. We are making it an annual family camp. Unfortunately for us we chose the worst possible weather & coldest snap we'd had this summer, but made the most of it. We look forward to coming back when we can swim and enjoy the warmth.

Bathrooms are always clean and nicely stocked. The grounds themselves are clean and tidy too.

We thought the camp hosts were pleasant and doing a good job--in spite of having a full campground over the 4th of July holiday. Things were in good order when we arrived on the 5th. We were surprised to find the water level so low and brought our car top boat. We found the boat ramp unuseable--about 20 feet from the water. We used the path alongside the ramp to launch., as had others before us. We have camped here for many years and were not aware of the paddleboard popularity! They fillkthe entire beach pn bothsides of the launch ramp and raised shelters etc right on the ramp and the space beside that was being used for launch. We were unable to take our boat out until nearly dark on Saturday, July 11. They were parked everywhere but the official dayuse parking area. What a mess. Signs & rules should be posted.
