Great location 50 minutes out from Seattle. River right next to the site. Clean.

The campground is beautiful, the sites spacious and well kept, the restrooms clean and the drinking water fresh and cold at the pump.

Now ifthere wasn't a CONSTANT freeway drone from I-90 a couple hundred yards to the north . . . day and night without respite. Be prepared.

Finally, SHAME on the Forest Service for the abysmal condition of the gravel road from the freeway exit to the campground - a measly 1.6 miles took us almost 30 minutes with our small trailer, crawling through giant troughs and potholes at <5mph. The State Park ranger I met said the USFA usually grades the road once a year in the spring, but they clearly forgot his year. Atrocious, no other way to describe it.

A beautiful campground with generous sites and quite a bit of room between most sites. There's a lovely hiking trail that starts in the campground. The campground is in deep forest with plenty of shade and with trees and undergrowth to mute campground noises.

Things to be prepared for: Visually, the spot is peaceful and isolated, but I-90 is just across the river and you'll hear it all night. The sites are well-prepared and cared for with fire rings, a picnic table, and room for at least one large tent in each site. Most have deep enough entries for a trailer and vehicle.

The amenities are just above bare bones. There is no lighting in the campground (which I liked), so don't forget a flashlight or headlamp. There are plenty of trash bins and pit toilets. Water is via an old-fashioned hand-pump and the pipes are iron, so consider bringing water just in case.
