I camped with 3 grandchildren, a small trailer, and a tent. The campground is in old-growth forest, and sites are mostly spacious with foliage providing privacy. The road and site parking are paved. The flush toilet bathroom was clean and stocked. This site has electricity only; water spigots are available. The tent pad was big, and we erected a large tent. The day-use parking lot and road were visible through a screen of trees, but far enough away that privacy did not feel diminished. There are several well-maintained trails available; a walk to Franklin Falls is a must. The camp host was friendly and informative. The interstate is nearby and can be heard but not seen. If you use your imagination, the sound just might be the nearby river (until a truck's air brakes are heard). It didn't drown out the birds, which were actively singing throughout the day. The grandchildren found plenty to do exploring the forest and collecting sticks. They voted to return.

Clean park. Bit of freeway noise.

The campground was great and the Camp Host and others were friendly and helpful. The directions getting there, however, were horrible! Our confirmation letter sent us on a rutted dirt road that required us to drive our 25 foot motorhome at 5 mph. It took us more than an hour and a half to drive the 3 miles and destroyed 2 of our roof vents which require replacing. Please change the directions for driving to the campground. We had been looking forward to hiking to the falls but arrived too late to do so.

The entrance to Denny Creek Campground is very confusing. If you don't bear left at the fork into the entrance, you will have to drive an extra ~10 miles to get back to the entry point into the campground. Don't take the right fork which has a big "One Way" sign or you will be stuck driving the extra miles.
