This is a lovely campground, with fairly spacious campsites, and well kept grounds. The bathrooms are in need of maintenance, but were clean. Had an electric site, but the 30A was out of order, but the 20A worked which was good enough for our needs. The trail to Franklin Falls is a must as it's a very nice hike through the woods along the stream and is very scenic. The biggest drawback is the location between the eastbound and westbound legs of I-90. The constant noise is annoying while sitting outside. Inside our RV was quiet enough that it didn't disturb us, but I wouldn't want to tent camp here.

We havent been RV camping for too many years, but enough that we use a Forest Service campground at least once a year. This is the first Forest Service campground that we have visited that had any hookups for RVs. We were pleased to have 30amp power on our site, although there was neither water at the site or a sewer port or dump station at the campground. Our site was mostly level, but like most of the Forest Service campgrounds weve stayed in, the vehicle pad is usually not particularly level or has such a swaybacked curve in it that leveling is sometimes impossible. We were grateful for the site being as level as it was. The vehicle pad wasnt all that wide, once we were situated there was maybe of a foot of asphalt beyond our front door. We put out a door mat after we got situated and about half the mat rolled off the asphalt to the ground next to it. It would have been nice to have more asphalt on the curb side of our rig so that we tracked in less pine needles and dirt than we did.Campsites are quite generous. We have more than enough space for two canopies, and there was a tent pad, too. We were camping with friends who booked the adjacent site 30, which had no utilities. They were tent camping and we allowed them to use our tent pad.The fire ring is nicely placed on the site, about equidistant from the picnic table and the tent pad. And there was a large bear box on the far side of the campsite for overnight storage of food and equipment.Unlike many Forest Service campgrounds we have visited, flush toilets and running water were available on site, however no showers. Water taps were also conveniently spaced throughout the campground; you didnt have to go far to fill your jerry can. However electric sites did not have water, so make sure your RV is full before you arrive. Note that the taps in the park are not threaded, so you cant just screw on your hose and fill your tank.We will do our best to come back next year.
