I could not stand the traffic noise from the interstate at Denny Creek Campground. I was booked for two nights but only stayed one due to hardly sleeping because of the semis thundering down I-90 ALL THE TIME.During my stay, the closest flush toilets were locked and porta potties were available. They were almost full and completely disgusting. The pit toilets at other campgrounds Ive stayed at this year have been pristine in comparison. And I dont understand the logic behind supplying bear lockers at each campsite when trash containers all over the campground are not secured against wildlife. I cannot agree with the good reviews for this campground - listening to interstate noise all the time is not my idea of camping. Ive stayed at numerous campgrounds in WA - some next to highways - and the noise at Denny Creek is on another level. If youre looking for a calm, peaceful stay in nature, this is not your campground. If youre ok with noise, gross toilets and unsecured trash bins in bear country, then go ahead. For clarity, Im a tent camper. Perhaps staying in an RV would be a different experience. If youre comparing this campground to closely packed, treeless RV parks, then ok - youll likely love the trees and space between sites. If youre used to beautiful PNW camping in more remote areas, this campground is the bottom of the barrel.

We love it here! we come every year 1-3 times per year. Great family getaway for nature lovers.
