I wouldnt recommend this site personally. It was super tight to get 2 cars to fit. Wouldnt have been able to fit 2 tents easily either. Not really much of a flat spot to put a tent either. The tent/flat spot ended up not mattering as the cars at night didnt die down enough to sleep in my tent. We both ended up sleeping inside our cars. The bathroom is right next to the site too and we got lots of wafts from the bathroom smell at our site. Besides that the grounds were very clean. We enjoyed having a spot to throw trash away. Always nice to not ride home with garbage smell in your car. Everyone was quiet at night. The site worked for what we needed it for. There were lots of sites open I would have preferred to switch to but no camp host on site to make that happen.

The camp host was very friendly and helpful with info on the area. The host kept the bathrooms clean. Great small hikes around the campsite and white river. Highway side sites can be noisy. Overall quiet and beautiful campground!

Site #12 Highway side. This site is directly across from a water spigot, and next to a bathroom and trashcan. The site is separated from the bathroom and trashcan by some brush and trees, so it didnt feel too close to either.I set up a tent for my dog and I, and there are two trees near the campground road that are good for a clothesline, hammock, or for tying your dog out. This site is separated from the highway by about 50 feet of brush and trees. The sound of cars passing by is pretty constant but settles down at night. I didnt mind it either way. This seems like a popular campsite for families and their pets as well, so I felt it was pretty safe. This does mean that dogs may be barking or kids being loud, but that comes with the territory. I felt everyone was respectful and tried to keep the noise down. There is a short and flat path down to the river, which splits in two with one section being gentle and safe to sit or play in. The Dalles River trail is nice as well. Camp is close to really popular trails or access points to Mt Rainier. We went to Chinook Pass PCT Trailhead because dogs are permitted on the PCT here.Appreciate this site, campground, and the maintenance and upkeep I saw going on!
