The previous review of this camp site is, sadly, on-point. We visited in late July and have nothing but great things to say about the location as a jumping-off-point and camp host. This site, however, is not up to par. It is RIGHT and I mean RIGHT against the highway. Closer than any other site at the campground and with no vegetation to shield the site from traffic noise. We planned to only use the site for cooking/sleeping and were in a small trailer which offered sound protection, but the site is much smaller than others are this campground, noisier, and without any decent tent site. It worked for our purposes and we were happy to grab it last minute, but to charge the same as a similar waterfront site is ludicrous. This site needs work (i.e. low vegetation between the highway and site) to be brought up to standards. I don't see how this could be workable in a tent, really.

Very shaded within the trees, don’t expect much heat or many hours of sun.
Site was very small, uneven, and had tons of roots running through it (trip hazard) and made finding a spot for our tent frustrating and it ended up closer to the fire than I would have liked.
You’re INCREDIBLY close to the highway, it actually made me nervous with my dog there, I can’t imagine how people would feel with children.
No easy access to the water, water nearby is thick with clay and awfully cold.
I recommend skipping this site and trying another that better represents the northwest.
The pictures attached to each site are a lie by the way. They use pictures from a select few sites (the select few that aren’t awful) and don’t show you sites like 11,12 or 14.
