The campground is big, the campsites are huge.We stayed in 42 which is a premium river site. River is too fast to play in but is great background noise.42 was large and very exposed to everyone. Right across the street from the toilet so that smell did waft over when the wind was just right. We had slight cell phone service. AT&TRoad is paved, so bring your scooters. Road noise wasnt bad because we were near the river. Host was very attentive, and kept the campground very nice. Every site in the campground is very large and you are not close to neighbors although theres not much brush or trees to stop you from seeing everything. Riverside is the most popular, and I would never pay to stay on the roadside, unless I absolutely needed to. I just dont like seeing cars and I think the speed limit is 60 so might be dangerous for kids and pets on that side. Overall fun place! Only took a star off because of the stink of the pit toilet.

Lovely campground near the white river. We camped on the river side. It was very quiet and peaceful even though it is a near the road. The camp sites are well-spaced, not too crowded. Beautiful forest. Would camp here again

Wonderful campground -- beautiful, large sites and very nice walking trails. Camp Host was friendly and organized, and clearly working hard to keep the campground nice. Only critique is that only one water spigot in the entire campground has a threaded faucet, so we had to block the road briefly to fill up our Airstream.

What a nicely developed dry camping facility! We stayed 3 nights with our 21 foot travel trailer. Access was good, parking easy and the site was level. Host was friendly and this early in the season we had the place mostly to ourselves.

We would definitely come back.

We loved the campground, the walks, the sites, and especially the camp hosts! The restrooms were always clean, and the only suggestion would be for newer dumpsters as they are hard to open. But We will come back to this campground again!!

Campsite was very clean. The table was large, sturdy, and new looking. The fireplace was good and we were able to use the grate for cooking on.
The only downside to the site was that
We were camped across from the restroom and at times we were able to smell them. We've camped at this site before and didn't have this problem.
Overall our camping experience was great.

Great spot next to the river, not a fan of the camp host.

The camp ground has a excellent host who goes above and beyond. The pit latrines are kept very clean. There are trail resources he has made available and he loves to talk about them. Our site. #42 was away from the traffic noise as we were next to the river. There is no cell reception in the campground, but a little on the John Muir Trail at the south end of the park and 2 - 3 bars across the river at the north end (AT&T.) We had our dog with us and there are lots of trails that allow dogs along the highway outside the national park. The small town of Greenwater closes early around 5:00PM. If you need something get there before 5. The camp ground is 2 hours from downtown Seattle, but a world away. We had a great experience and highly recommend it.

Great campsite next to the water. The sites that are closer to the road are not good because you can hear the cars go by.
