many secluded camp sites and lots of big old growth trees. Close to Mt. Rainier activities.
Might be worth a 10 if access to river better and some hook ups offerred.

This campground just isn't 'kept up' like the others in the area. This year my site was strewn with the previous campers mess. Everything from kid's juice box straw wrappers to cigarette butts to beer cardboard box in the fire pit. Not once did I see the 'campground host'. There are much better CG's up the road.

When we reserved Site #35 earlier in the year for eleven days all the information provided stated the site could accommodate a 40ft camper, we have a 28ft camper plus tow vehicle. The day before we received notification from Jim the camp host that the site information on Recreation.gov had been wrong, the site could accommodate a 25ft camper and we would most likely not fit. We made arrangements with Jim that we would check it out once we got there and go from there. Upon arrival we saw that we couldn't fit, Jim hooked us up with a parking spot in the Day Use Area. There would have been a few openings that could accommodate us but not for the entire time and we would have had to move 5 - 6 times.

I'm EXTREMELY happy how we were treated by Jim (camp host), he did everything possible to make a bad situation better, he was great!! RECREATION.gov -- to put it bluntly, you FAILED.

This campground was beautiful. Like others stated, the highway side is literally on the highway- we had a river spot and absolutely loved it. Just beware: the sizes that are stated on the website may not be accurate, so if you have a trailer or RV I’d call if you can to verify. We were in site 35 with a 17 foot trailer and we just fit (website said max length 45ft). Out of all the sites on the river side, ours was definitely the worst, in our opinion, for a trailer. It was very uneven and didn’t have a great angle in/out like nearly all the others. But tent camping would be great for this specific site and we had a nice trail down to the river (between sites 34-35). We will definitely be going back.
