Reservation system needs a complete overhaul: when we arrived someone was in our spot (Park Creek) and no one was on duty to help us. Did I mention it was 92 degrees?! Finally we were directed to an overflow campsite (Swift Creek), which turned out to be great. We really enjoyed our time there--lovely campground, great boat launch, and adequate swimming area. We'll be back!

The campground was great! We stayed at campsite 10 and loved it. The campsite had adequate shade (the day definitely became sunny but overall not too bad). The site is also right next to the river and has a river access point! It's also nice to be away from the very crowded Swift creek campground across the street. The bathroom was also relatively clean and nearby too.

If you're looking for lake access, the campground is a solid 15-minute walk. We decided to drive and found that there's ample parking at Swift Creek for day use. The drive to the site is also not too bad.

Overall it's great if you want to be away from the crowds and close to a river.

My dog and I totally enjoyed Park Creek Campground! The hosts from Swift Creek Campground were very nice. They cleaned the pit toilets every day and they did an outstanding job. I met a lot of wonderful people and plan to come back next year!
Thanks,
Jan Porter

Park Creek is a lovely small campground with beautiful trees, lots of sunlight, and Mt. Baker as background. Free access to Baker Lake is across the road at Swift Creek Campground. If you're camping with a lot of kids who want constant access to the water, then Swift Creek is a better choice. But we greatly preferred the smaller, quieter Park Creek. The campground host for both campgrounds is at Swift Creek and he was excellent. He came by everyday to clean and restock the vault toilet and make sure that everything was ok. He also hand delivered a pass for us to park our car at the day-use area at Swift Creek so we could enjoy the swimming area and beach for free. We enjoyed using Park Creek as our launch site for several wonderful hikes in the area. Highly recommend.
