What a great campground. Hosts were visible, bathrooms were modern clean and stocked. Every campsite had guests but we didn't feel crowded. Site 11 and 02 have to be the best spots. We were in 11 right on the river with fairly easy access down to it. TIP - Do not stay in site 12, this on is kind of in the middle of everyone else and literally right next to the bathroom so people will be walking around/through your camp constantly. There is a trail for the river bank that all guests can access no matter which site you're at. No cell service. It's about a 2 min drive to a small convince store and only about a 15 min drive into Granite Falls. Lots of hiking trails and things to do in this area.

Verlot is our favorite campground and we return year after year. We like the privacy of sites 11 and 13 along with their proximity to the river. We are a bit distressed at the loss of trees throughout the campground, while we are sure that their removal is necessary for a variety of reasons. The hosts this year, 2023, were excellent in their attention to the campground. We truly enjoyed our stay

We are sad that they cut so many trees down at Verlot. However, we still love going there.

Extremely crowded. Neighbor campers were walking through our campgrounds. extremely close together. Not the greatest camping experience.

Site#11 next to the camp host, spacious, on the river.

Great campground next to the river. Close to some really good hikes like Lake 22. Sites are large and have enough distance and trees between neighbors. Clean toilets. There's a grocery store nearby for most camping needs.

River is beautiful, campsites are private, fellow campers were quiet and respectful. There are camp hosts on-site with firewood and to answer any questions and manage the grounds. There are many fantastic hikes within a 10-20 minute drive of Verlot. If you like hiking you could spend many days doing spectacular hikes, so plan your stay accordingly.

Great campground- access to the beach area from a neat trail that had an interpretive sign and a bridge. The river side sites are always a favorite with my kids, and most riverside sites have great rocky river access especially in the late summer when the river has dried up a bit. Vaulted bathrooms were very clean. Great experience, am definitely going to plan a trip here next year. As a note: I had no cell coverage until I was back near Granite Falls again. Maybe a different (non-prepaid) phone may be different.
