Good site for smaller group. While the site is large, you may struggle to find enough flat space for two tents. Check Google Maps Street View for better idea of what the campsite looks like. High tree cover. Creek is small. The campsite is below the road, and the driveway is on a slope.Check when the campsite visitor center closes, for us it was 5pm. Silver Falls trail from the campsite is okay for a campsite trail, but I would rather spend the time doing Myrtle Falls or Narada Falls. There is no phone signal at the campsite, but full bars at Paradise if needed.

We love this campground. It is quiet and sheltered in the old growth forest. It is convenient to both the Sunrise and Paradise sides of the park. Within the campground itself are a well staffed Visitor Center and trailheads for a nature trail and beautiful Silver Falls. The Ohanapecosh River runs through the campground and provides sweet rushing water white noise at night. The staff and campground host are amazing. So why not 5 stars??? Because your chances of finding paper towels in a rest room seem to be less than 10%. We were there for over a week, so this wasn't a fluke or an end of the weekend thing. So go and enjoy a wonderful, peaceful experience. Just bring your own hand towel.

First camping experience in Mount Rainier. Lovely campsite surrounded by primitive forest. Excellent trail to falls within campground.

Very peaceful campground that’s walking distance to many beautiful trails and waterfalls. If you have a tow vehicle, highly recommend taking the drive to Paradise Camp and its numerous trails up to the glacier.

Staying at Ohanapecosh is always a lovely experience -- which we've done at least twice a year for many years. Just the right balance of beautiful trees, natural, clean and functional camp sites, the necessary amenities, hiking to beautiful Silver Falls and Grove of the Patriarchs and of course the always wonderful Ohanapecosh river. We have traveled a lot, but getting back to Ohanapecosh is what we greatly look forward to doing every year. Fully enjoyable and relaxed every time.
