The reservation system had just switched to FF, First Come/First Served, when I decided to camp. I wasn't sure how that would work but I trusted in the system. As I drove up to the Visitor Center a large white board signed explained everything. I checked in with Park Staff and was quickly able to reserve my favorite site from my previous on line review. Staff assured me that I had a good site. I was very pleased when the Staff member asked if I had my senior access pass for the Park. I did and received 1/2 off the site cost. Nice surprise.I found the grounds clean, quiet, and well maintained. The Staff must work very hard because there were not a lot of them on duty. I would love to see Grove of the Patriarch again. It's been since the 1980's I believe. I read it was closed indefinitely.

Large campsite with hikes to creeks and falls. Clean and well maintained.

This is an amazing campground with lots of allure. The hike to the waterfall and the river beach access were both highlights for our stay. The lush forest is an amazing setting to relax, unwind, and detach from the hustle and bustle. Rainier National Park offers lots to do and amazing views of a majestic mountain that is certainly worth the trip.

One of the most peaceful and well-designed national park campgrounds. Sounds of the mountain stream were an added bonus. Rangers were very helpful. We'd love to come back soon.
At first, we missed the turnout to the camp since all road signs were removed due to the road construction.

We camped in Loop A. We had room for our family of five. Restrooms were clean. Campground was quiet. We appreciated the firewood delivery and the kid-friendly hikes and locale.

Everything was great- as usual. We REALLLLLLLLLY miss the ability to dump before driving our 4.5 hrs home. Staff were friendly, trails were maintained. The only thing we noticed is it is becoming harder to pull into our usual spot with our truck and trailer bc of tree and bush growth. Its still one of our favorite summer vacations! Thanks for all you do!
