Downstream Campground in Valley County is located 4 hrs 11 min northeast of Billings, MT with an elevation of 2,048 feet. There are a total of 94 campsites including 1 tent-only site. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of September. 88 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 90 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 1 site has electric and water hookups. 76 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $15.00 to $250.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, marina, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include biking, boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports, recreational shooting nearby.

We love this campground! Always clean, well taken care off. The Hosts are so helpful and kind. There is so much to do there! The walking trails lead right to the Interpretive Center at the Dam, which is a fun family activity!

My first time visiting Downstream. Linda was in the entrance building and assisted me with getting online to sign in for the campsite. I found the area very clean, well managed, and to my surprise, very few people were camping there. I was impressed with the staff, location, and for sure, it is a hidden gem.

Stopped in without a reservation but were able to phone to get a site even though it was about 7pm. Very nice campground by the pond and river. Paved roads and pads.

Lovely spot on the lake. Clean, quiet and pretty. Short drive from hwy as we drive cross country.

The campground is beautiful and well maintained. The walking trail is wonderful. The ladies at the front gate were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit.

Large spacious sites that allow for a small amount of privacy. Nice and quiet while we were there in September.

Downstream Campground I the fall is the best. Things are quieter, and usually the weather isn't so brutal. We went twice after Labor Day this year.

Beautiful spot, very well maintained. Lots of hiking trails, and disc golf available right in the park. RV sites are level and good spacing for privacy.

This campground was really a pleasant surprise on our trip. The person that checked us in was extremely friendly and he provided us with a lot of interesting and useful information about the park and the surrounding area. We would definitely stay there again.My only negative comment would be about the roads leading into the area from the south. They were in terrible condition and badly in need of repair...

Very nice setting right on the Missouri River and behind the Fort Peck Dam, large trees for shade and extra large sites. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well taken care of. Nice walking/biking trails, fishing ponds and of course Fort Peck Reservoir. Paved flat sites, our was a back in with plenty of room, we didnt have to unhook. Would definitely stay again.

Great place. Quiet and friendly people. Very convenient if you are fishing at the lake. Cleanest bathrooms and showers in any campground around.

The site were okay, not crowded next to each other. Showers and restrooms were clean. The really down side was the hundreds of flies, bugs and mosquitoes.
